Fèis Ìle 2024
Fèis Ìle 2023 was a resounding success and we loved celebrating the heritage of Islay through our variety of events. From lively festivals to an enchanting evenings of music we had a dram-tastic time celebrating with you all.
Now we are gearing up for another fantastic year, promising even more fun and a plethora of drams! Following our stellar debut on Islay last year, we are excited to return to Fèis Ìle with an impressive lineup of events for you to enjoy. See below for details on all events.
Mac-Talla Islay Single Malt Whisky Journey of Taste Walk
Join us on a guided walk along Islay’s coast with 4 accompanying drams influenced by the Landscape.
Mac-Talla's Head of Whisky Production, Graeme Mackeddie, and knowledgeable local tour guide Dougie McTaggart will be hosting this guided walk along the scenic coastal surroundings of Port Ellen, with accompanying whiskies.
We'll enjoy 4 distinctly different Islay Single Malts, including official Mac-Talla Friends of Fèis 2024 Limited Edition, while learning about how the location and landscape of the Island influences the whisky produced there. Each Mac-Talla bottling takes inspiration from specific landscapes across Islay.
Your ticket price also includes a complimentary Mac-Talla branded hipflask.

Indie Whisky Festival
The Indie Whisky Festival is back this year with lots of exciting indie bottlers!
Hosted by Dramfool it’s an event that’s not to be missed! We will be going along and showcasing our core range, alongside our more limited releases and of course our 2024 festival bottling!

Mac-Talla Cinema Whisky Masterclass
Join Mac-Talla for an immersive journey of taste in the Machrie Cinema, with a selection of varied drams that showcase the diversity of the Island.
Mac-Talla’s Head of Production, Graeme Mackeddie presents an in-depth and immersive journey of taste across Islay, through a selection of diverse cask samples from our extensive cask collection of Islay Single Malts, showcasing the diversity of the Island’s whisky.
Settle into the comfort of the Machrie's private screening room as we take you across the rugged terrain of Islay with a unique whisky sensory experience, illustrating the deep connection between our whiskies and the unique landscape from which they derive their character and flavour.
Discover how each expression reflects the essence of Islay, from the Atlantic sea salt to the earthy peat bogs. Graeme will guide you through the tasting, sharing technical insights into the production process and how we shape our whiskies' distinctive profiles.

Journey of Taste Whisky Dinner
Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers are delighted to host a ‘Journey of Taste’ Whisky Dinner at the Machrie Luxury Golf Hotel.
Enjoy a welcome whisky tasting reception in the Machrie’s screening room, where Brand Ambassador Thomas Cuthbert will take you through the Mac-Talla range, a collection of three unique Islay Single Malts that showcase the diversity of the Island’s distillate.
Following the reception, we’ll enjoy a four course dinner, served alongside hand-picked whiskies, including anew, limited edition and Morrison family cask sample whiskies.
The evening promises indulgent drams and food, while we immerse you in the world of Mac-Talla Islay Single Malt Whisky.
Ticket price includes: four course meal with seven whiskies and tea/coffee.

Journey of Taste Festival Day
We are delighted to host a tropical Journey of Taste Whisky Festival at the Machrie Luxury Golf Hotel Courtyard.
Join us to celebrate the official Mac-Talla 'Friends of Fèis' 2024 Rum Cask Limited Edition, with a tropical 'Journey of Taste’ Whisky Festival.
Following the fantastic success of last year's festival event, guests can expect a welcome dram in a complimentary branded glass to take home, delicious BBQ, a dram token for an additional single malt from the Mac-Talla Bar boasting core range, limited edition and Friends of Fèis 2024 bottlings (more drams available to purchase) while you enjoy live music by the amazing Tàlan and fun lawn games to win Mac-Talla prizes.
Ticket price includes: Welcome dram, additional dram token, BBQ meal and games entry.

Lochside Hotel Bar Takeover
Join the Mac-Talla team for one night only as they take over the Lochside side bar for cocktail imbibing in Caribbean style.
Brand Ambassador, Thomas Cuthbert, will be flexing his mixology skills with a Caribbean-themed cocktail menu in the renowned Lochside bar. Choose from a selection of cocktails, dram pours and Carribbean vibes as we showcase the breadth of Mac-Talla Islay Single Whiskies and the new Mac-Talla 'Friends of Fèis' 2024 Rum Cask Limited Edition.

Islay Sea Adventures with Mac-Talla Islay Single Malt
Islay Sea Adventures and Mac-Talla Islay Whisky have teamed up for a whisky and wildlife tour, taking in the Island’s stunning scenery, paired with delicious whisky!
Mark, from the Mac-Talla team, will be on board alongside Islay Sea Adventures, to enlighten guests all about our award winning whisky including our core range products and Official Friends of Fèis 2024 bottling. With whisky in hand, we will pass the three southern distilleries of Islay as well as spectacular scenery and castle ruins rich with history. Our crew will be on hand to give you all information on everything we see. We will then head up to the European Special Area of Conservation where we see lots of wildlife. This includes seabirds, seals, deer and even sometimes white-tailed eagles and bottlenose dolphins if we’re lucky.
You will have the opportunity to purchase Mac-Talla products on return to the harbour from a pop-up shop.
